Apples and the Like

On Wednesday my squeeze came in the mail. Today I went apple picking, and Tuesday and Wednesday  I'll be  canning apple sauce! I'm quite excited to do it, I have  only ever assisted, so doing it solo will be fun (I think. It'll probably drive me mad at some point)

I am so ready for it to be fall. Fall has always been my favorite season. Its not too hot, not too cold, the leaves are beautiful, and there are wonderful smells. Oh my goodness the smells! Apples, pumpkins, hay, burning leaves...I wish we didn't live in the city where we can't burn our own leaves.
I love Fall foods as well. I was just telling the significant other that during the fall I'm gonna make him some chicken pot pie. He asked why I don't make it now. Well, because its 90 degrees out and the leaves haven't turned yet...Thats why. There are just some things you simply can't eat unless its fall. Chili, for instance. You can't eat that on a hot summer day, It would be absurd.

I have been slowly improving my crocheting. I completed one wash cloth, a truly hideous looking thing, and am about 2/3 of the way through a second. The second one is looking much better. I took the time to count stitches about 1/2 through it, and while the bottom 3rd is uneven and rough, the next few rows actually look passable. I was just outside, sitting on the front steps crocheting my franken cloth when I was driven inside by a wretched stench. Our neighbors in the duplex we live in have 13 cats, but thats another story. I was driven inside because the daughters smoke pot, and while they were in the backyard today (usually they sit out front and do it) the breeze was strong enough that it wafted through to the front. Needless to say, I quickly went inside, which was a good thing, cause I remembered that I needed to do some laundry because of no clean clothes. I can keep this house spotless, but I always forget about the laundry until I'm out of clothes.

Blog Reboot number 459,000,328

Over the years I have started and stopped many blogs. Mainly I just loose interest, or decided I want to change my writing style and don't want it mixed with my old drivel or whatever reason I have at the time. I'm a greater starter of projects. I'm not generally the best finisher.

This time however, I figured that seeing as I have entered a new stage of life (Marriage) now would be as good a time as any to venture forth once again into the blogging world.

So for now this blog shall be devoted to sharing things I've learned or am learning as a wife, and my attempts at homemaking, as well as my current project----attempt number 333330000 at learning to crochet...
